The wild and natural fibers of vetiver, abaca, hemp, raffia, palm leaf, water hyacinth, are chosen for their delicacy and the richness of their imperfections to be directly magnified on a handloom. Drawing out the strands, spinning the yarn, weaving, or braiding. Some of these techniques can be found nowhere else in the world.
We curate minimalism and naturalism. We think that’s where beauty is at its purest. Sometimes, we even reach out for imperfection. There’s that sweet spot between taming the material and allowing some roughness in. And only the most expert hands know how find such spot. A whole day is often needed to weave a single yard.
